Here is some beautiful aerial footage of Canopée, the sail-assisted cargo ship, arriving at the port of Pariacabo in Kourou, French Guiana, on Feb 22, after a 10-day voyage across the Atlantic.
This time it brought the central core for Ariane 6’s first flight later this year.
The 121m-long, 22m-wide ship is powered by two 3,840kW diesel engines and four automated 37m high wingsails, 363 sq m each. The sails reduce average fuel consumption by ~30%.
