one thing it took me a long time to realize about carrier pigeons is that each bird can only carry messages to one destination (its home) & you have to deliver them to the sender's address manually beforehand.
I knew that they always find their way home, but for so long I was like, "how do you tell the bird, 'fly to Evelyn's house'??" but no you gotta send one of Evelyn's birds
