The same thing happens with search engine. We loose the ability to remember some things but instead our brain optimises for learning how to retrieve the data we need.
We’re probably going to adopt similar behaviour with AI assistants. We’ll remember prompts instead of the response.
It’s more efficient for “storage” but it also makes us more reliant on those centrally controlled tools which is not such a good thing for society overall.
