ElianeGray on Nostr: I cannot even contact a random buyer/seller at haveno-reto from my own haveno network ...
I cannot even contact a random buyer/seller at haveno-reto from my own haveno network because every haveno network is isolated. They should implement a communication protocol like Nostr or it will never get adoption by normies. At this stage, I would say its a censorship-resistant dictator network.
That's unfortunately the truth, all haveno instances are isolated and there's is just one working haveno instance (haven-reto) and its controlled by a single unknown entity. Is this decentralized? I dont think so.
The user experience on LocalMonero was a level that haveno will never reach due to its nature, but you can compare Haveno with LocalMonero in terms of centralization. Both are very centralized indeed. On the other hand, haveno seems to be very censorship-resistant as long as there are nodes, although most of the nodes might be controlled by the haveno-reto team.
In addition to that, it has no reputation system, not easy to learn, requires additional software like java, etc, no mobile app, no notification system, etc. Dont get me wrong, it may have its use case and its worth trying, but it will never get adoption like web exchanges such as LocalMonero.co/OpenMonero.co
