From what I know, 4k seems to be mostly a gimmick. If you have a 40-50” television, the difference between HD and 4k isn’t even noticeable from how far most people sit from their televisions. Unless the screen is enormous, it doesn’t matter. We can’t see that level of detail from that far away. You’d have to be sitting 3’ away.
I still see tech writers pushing $3k sets when you really don’t need to spend more than $300.
4K is the standard now, which is fine. You don’t need more than that. #4k
