New analysis by ClearGlass (reported in FT) indicates that pension schemes are being (often severely) overcharged for services available in the open market more cheaply.
So, financial service firms are taking advantage of pension plans' trustees (who may be less knowledgable of market conditions) to hike the prices paid (in the end) by pensioners for the management of their investment(s).
Result: more money for bankers, lower pensions for pension-scheme members.
