I tried to build an lnbank-like plugin for CLN and eventually decided it was a terrible idea because multi-user lightning custody is an accounting and security nightmare. You have to be very careful not to introduce double-spend attacks and race conditions when it comes to withdrawals. People building and recommending these solutions are playing with fire. Looks like it eventually happened 😔
He said he was running LN nodes for a couple of years, never had an issue. The problems came in once he connected to BTCPay and lnbank, I believe, giving them full access.
This isn't LN problem, this is a problem of custodial plugins, IMO.
