When I play a video game, my primary interest is in visiting a different world. It is really annoying that in the last few decades as technology has advanced by leaps and bounds, in the name of “streamlining” and “fun”, there has been a relentless quest industry-wide quest to eliminate a lot of the idiosyncratic weird little details that make the worlds both memorable and actually feel like lived-in worlds
