For about 6 weeks, I've been receiving zaps in one wallet & zapping from another to see if zaps received could fund part of my zap budget for January, just as kind of an impromptu experiment since i would be switching wallets anyway. I was kind of tight with my December budget so I was able to prepay my nostr bills for Jan off of that, and the community was generous enough over those 6 weeks to match just about what I zap out on random notes in a month.... I sold 3 lattes for btc at my shop in December too, so that went into my queued zap wallet as a buffer. Between all that, it makes Jan the first month that I won't move money from my "play" budget to my "nostr play" budget and I might move into February with a tiny surplus.

I think that's really cool & significant. Mainly because I don't "create content". I'm just a person doing stuff & talking to people. The opportunity to be profitable is there. It also says a lot about the community here, again, because I am just a person doing stuff & talking to people... and others find value in that, which is very heartwarming. 💜

I have no expectation or desire to repeat these results. I just thought it was worth sharing, for anyone who might be on the fence about making the effort... and also as a thank you for appreciating me as me 😊🫂
