im not sure, ive only started, i did speak to the author for awhile tho & he is an expert on historical maps & land treaties.
on the second pg it says: "but this book is not really about Henry Hudson .. nor his crew. This is about the land that discovered him, the people who encountered him, & the river that flowed beneath him, both ways, upstream and down."
