To celebrate the Return of the Sun today, here's a peek at a ribald 16th-c. ceiling fresco in the hilariously named Chamber of the Sun and Moon, in the Palazzo Te, near Mantua. I was only there for a big retrospective of Jean Prouvé (the chair designer in the earlier post) but the palazzo itself made an even bigger impression on me.
