I had real doubts about semaglutide (ozempic/ wegovy) and while there have been some concerning side effects in people it has shown so far to be overwhelmingly positive. It's very important to note that this is almost entirely a neurological drug. It seems to be able to enhance self control whilst (mostly) not affecting general motivation meaning that peoples grocery bills end up dropping alongside their weight. There are signs that this also treats alzheimers and parkinsons as well. Obviously assuming all is well this is an incredible gift for humanity lost for ~2 generations.

So, what if this isn't an accident? What if the research was cancelled because it controlled addictive desire? What if this controls other conspicuous, unnecessary consumption such as funko pops? What if this unhinged consumption has been the main source of first world economic growth post WW2? #conspiracy
