You've all heard of the infamous "meeting to schedule a meeting," but did you know this technique was pioneered by Microsoft? You can still see it today in Microsoft AutoUpdate, which in my usage has probably installed more updates to the updater than actual software updates. And it's still an open question whether either is particularly useful 🙃
