There still appears to be no viable use case for most ordinary consumers to pay for any generative AI applications or services. Nor are "AI agents" likely to change this equation. And without mass adoption by paying customers, the enormous financial outlays Big Tech is pouring into AI are destined to go down in history as the biggest boondoggle in tech history itself.
