My thought is, he is testing the GOP senate. Seeing who will dare defy him. He’s trolling them with the worst nominees to see who would put up any resistance to them. Then he’ll know who his enemies still are. I don’t think he cares that much who is AG as long as it’s a loyalist. Same with Director of National Intelligence or Defense Secretary. He wants to know who the institutionalists still are, and he’s drawing them out with these nominations.
