it wasn't the insiders who chose that; it was the popular mob. I was staunchly against the fork and you probably would consider me an insider. But I agree the DAO fork 100% bullshit. That said I think improving the chain with hardforks is good and that something that bitcoin and bitcoiners have a hard time with.
