I finally got a call back from the nutritionist that my GI doctor referred me to like a month and a half ago, and it looks like I'm finally going to get some professional help on my diet starting on Friday! She's an actual clinical nutritionist, not some nutritional-MLM-peddling shyster, so I'm really looking forward to actually getting some professional help with my diet.
Which is pretty good timing too, because today I've totally been struggling with the worst part of diets and such out there - the constant feeling of being hungry or intense cravings for bad-for-me foods, and without really knowing specifically what I should be keeping in the house and eating in order to stave those things off.
IMO, that's why most people "fall off the wagon" of changing their nutrition habits, this feeling of being "always hungry". And there's just so much contradictory information out there that it's nearly impossible (I think) for a person to do it on their own. I really hope that this new "guide" will be worth the money that I'm going to probably end up paying her.
In fact, I'm kind of counting on it because I don't know what I'm going to do if she's not.
