Spent part of the evening helping my gaming group recover from getting their Discord hacked. The hackers just deleted a bunch of channels, but with them 8+ years of comments and messages that were in them are now gone

Just feels so senseless... Dropping spam links to their malware, sure I can see the financial motivation

All deleting the channels achieved was a good reminder never to put anything important in Discord

...or never put anything in Discord period
