the key bindings thing is a known issue with KDE. There is already a binding that conflicts. Remove that and it should work. If that is not it, there is another known issue when it will open once but not close or vice versa. Seems to be the same with both Tilda and Guake. If memory serves it is indeed a Wayland issue and last I looked it was being worked on. I'm not sure of the current status.
