The more hobbyist spaces involving PCB design I join, the funnier it is in retrospect (and the more grateful I am) that I learned this shit from an asshole professor who insisted we CNC mill all of our PCBs ourselves on a CNC and then hand-solder raw SMD Atmel MCUs instead of using a hotplate or anything else remotely normal.
