If you were. Then it's probably because the freeloaders use free Nostr relays to upload questionable things that might be illegal depending on which country the server is in.
When I ran my server hosting company. We have no choice but to quickly kick clients off our server due to illegal activities. Most of the time it's because the client allowed anyone to upload anything to their servers and they didn't moderate their server.
Internet users would then send complaints to the ISP and the ISP would threaten to ban us. The ISP doesn't mess around.
This is why you should never allow users without payment to upload things to your server.
The free relays are full of trash. I can see this happening and it will give Nostr a bad name.
Most administrators just setup the relay and never moderate.
