I see a zap as an exchange of energy. Similar to how a reaction is an exchange of energy. I zap everybody who comments on my posts for example. Then a reaction is an afterthought because of how it's perceived in legacy social media.

I'd be all in on zaps only because imo they represent the same thing (energy exchange). We are just in a transitionry period of legacy and real value social media.

The reaction alone is an empty acknowledgement, similar to the dollar I guess. "I'm now in your debt" with my attention. You add a zap to it - it's real value transfered.
