Last boost re: a quarter of recent websites going offline: One of the surprisingly effectively ways I've found to communicate about the work of archivists and digital preservation is to ask folks how long they think the average website is online for. I did this recently with a non-archivist who did the whole "oh everything is forever on the internet" line and they were captivated when I shared about the Sisyphean tasks of digital preservation and the work of web archives and archivists.
