I see SO MANY posts saying that Trump deporting people is like The Holocaust, El Salvador is doing The Holocaust, etc.
I can't help thinking: This might not be legal to post if you're in Europe.
Details differ, but generally speaking, denying, questioning, belittling, minimizing, contextualizing, or otherwise undermining the gravity of The Holocaust is forbidden in most European countries.
If you claimed that the entire extent of The Holocaust was Germany deporting 1000 people who were there illegally, this would be a pretty clear case of Holocaust Denial, and therefore illegal to post in most of Europe.
So therefore, if 1000 people are deported from the US and you post that this is comparable to The Holocaust, there is a possibility that this too is illegal because the implication is the same.
These types of post are always bad taste, disrespectful and cringe, but if you're European, they might also be illegal.
