All #Russia 2024 territorial gains in one video - this should be amplified as it serves as a reality-check against all the narratives that claim #Ukraine “front line collapse” and “Russia is winning”.
What can I add?
Firstly, Russia is not after strips of Ukraine’s territory - it’s after political control of all Ukraine.
Russia has overwhelming superiority especially in live force on the ground, 5-7x in some places.
Ukraine’s likely tactics is to trade fortified land in exchange for massive losses Russia takes to conquer it - and it’s the only tactics that can work in such an imbalance.
If the attacker will suffer 10x more human losses than you, then effectively you’re continuously reducing their live force even if you slowly retreat.
This is an important distinction, because Russian media are fixated on territorial gains while ignoring their losses - but this perspective is the only way they can justify the war. Unfortunately, many Ukrainian and Western media inherit this perspective while ignoring the bigger picture.
