It’s an interesting approach, in terms of incentives. If someone is purely financially motivated, they might zap 69% of the kitty (nice) to more-or-less guarantee a reward.
Or if you’re tryna play rough, you might zap 70% (I see you, Semisol 👨💻 (npub1226…grkj) 😂)
Other users are incentivized to engage: it’s a chance at profit for next-to-no cost (other than perhaps a little bit of dignity, but many of us have bid dignity goodbye long ago).
And for the bot, all it takes is two users trying to win — by trying, I mean zapping a large portion of the reward — to ensure the house makes a profit.
I’ll be curious to see how this model evolves, especially when you introduce businesses with marketing budgets and “influencer” accounts.
