I'm am male, my mind doesn't have a "gender" it simply exists in a male body. My mind can't be "male or female" depend on how i feel, as sex is a physical trait. If i begin saying "my mind is female" i need to use the concept of "gender" to rationalize that despite the physical reality that i I'm male.
