This is so true of so many of the bougie wankspangles. They compensate for their privilege guilt by over identifying with groups they have labelled as oppressed, and then lash out at other people they label as privileged who dare to critique the 'oppressed' group.
It also absolutely stalls real societal change and reinforces both in group superiority and the hegemony it claims to challenge.
