This is measurably wrong, based purely on the nature of the post you're replying to. When AP is added to Ghost core, that will add loads of new servers to the fediverse. That's not Mastodon.
FlipBoard isn't Mastodon. Neither is WordPress, who have now adopted the official AP plugin. It's never been less true that AP is 'just being a Mastodon protocol'.
