You have to ignore a lot, lot, lot of history to hold Oracle up as an entity with standing to lecture anybody - much less Red Hat - about open source.
Oracle Linux exists because Red Hat had the temerity to buy a startup Oracle wanted and Oracle wanted to keep Red Hat in its place.
Ask an OpenSolaris user how they feel about Oracle's stewardship of that.
