We do hide our bodies quite a lot.
That being said most people especially of the modern variety cannot be trusted with the responsibility of being scantily dressed and/or being surrounded by people who are scantily dressed.
Plus the average person doesn't have much of a body to show off so it becomes a moot point.
It's a chicken and egg type question where it is both a consequence and a cause. So yeah, I suppose you can say that clothes aren't directly eugenic, although the presence of clothes is proof of eugenics in the sense that we adapted. I don't think however that it plays a role as big as our other more damaging dysgenic practices.
Ideally we would look like we belong in a Conan the Barbarian story, but here we are instead.
