Bernard Hickey, who I used to work for on one of the newsletter products he describes (Newsroom Pro; I was responsible for its development for a year, during 2018-19), lays out his reasons for staying on Substack. I was curious what Bernard would decide, as he runs a thriving business on Substack — over 3k paying subscribers — and he’s not a tech geek like most people I know who are/were on Substack. I am still mulling his email, but wanted to circulate it for comment.
