While you'll see a lot of commentary today on the small shrinkage of 0.1% in the UK's GDP last month, the amplification of this into major news is really missing the (longer-term) point;
the UK's GDP has been bobbing at around zero for some time (within a margin of error), so the idea that this might be somehow Labour's fault is just nonsense... but it does indicate if raising GDP is the economic direction of choice, Labour *does* have its work cut out (pun intended).
