After my father was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s Disease in 2018, we started on this journey of intense research, investigation and reaching out to multiple doctors. We were open to any one and anything that could help him.

I was introduced to Dr. Bredesen by finding the paper he published in 2014 called: Reversal of cognitive decline: a novel therapeutic program. We're coming back to this paper in this video because there's a lot here.

In the paper, Dr. Bredesen describes that 9/10 patients, with diagnosed mild cognitive impairment or established Alzheimer’s Disease had improved and reversed their symptoms of cognitive decline and reversed their cognitive deficits.

The 9 who improved started seeing their improvements within 3-6 months.

So what was the program?

Dr. Bredesen’s first iteration of the protocol, for this study, was called the MEND Protocol: MEND for Metabolic Enhancement for Neurodegeneration.

Metabolic being the key word here.

Metabolic. Metabolism.

What is metabolism?

Simply, the chemical process our bodies use to convert the food, water and oxygen we consume into energy (ATP).

This study, like so many others, reinforces that when all our cells have more efficient metabolic activity, that is efficiency at converting the nutrients, water and oxygen we consume into energy, we will typically have better health outcomes.

AND, on the flip side, when we start to have dysfunctional metabolic activity at the cell-level, we will typically start to experience worse health outcomes.

In this video, we get into the program Bredesen's first case study in the paper used to reverse her cognitive decline.

Hope this is helpful for you and your family. Thank you for watching!
