Ah McMillian Preschool affair;
Part of me thinks the whole "regressed memory" fad that emerged after exposing "satanic abuse" was in itself a limited hangout for what was likely some kind of human trafficking network designed to blackmail important figures.
Read about some of the weird shit going on in Belgium in the
1970's-1980's. NATO stay-behind networks, etc. Lots of ties to the weird networks of fascists/fascist collaborators that were in the governments of many NATO countries.
The Franklin Credit Blackmail ring was also an interesting thing.
I think looking for "satanic human sacrifice" is a bit much; not that they're not doing stuff that "Looks" like that, but it's not for "Devil Worship" in any serious/literal/concious sense of the word.
To get into any position of power people hunt "the most dangerous game" as a bonding exercise and a way to ensure that any newcomer doesn't "get too big for their britches".
The instant you start talking about it being "Satanic" is the instant a lot of the less conspiracy minded stop listening because they're reminded of "Dungeons and Dragons: Satan's Game" and Jack Chick Comics.
