I fully expect a lot of people might hate the idea, but...
Why not create a way to bring TikTok-like content - and several of their creators, angry about being jerked around - to #mastodon? Why focus on being just another Twitter clone?
It seems to me it would be easy to create Mastodon reader apps that either center on, include, or exclude this kind of content. I'm all for Mastodon being massively customizable to enable multiple types of social media content. Short, long, photos, videos, etc.
