This is not accurate. #Ethereum emission actually became deflationary after the merge. So why is it inflationary again? Because of the implementation of blobspace which enables temporary data storage from L2s that don’t need to be permanently stored on the L1. This upgrade has made fees cheaper on L2s resulting in significantly less #ETH burning. Improving #web3 usability is a good move even to the detriment of investors.
