the best time to switch was in ’22, but the second best time is now 😛
personally I wouldn’t bother unless you need to change keys already. I think clients will move away from displaying raw npubs in the long term, so vanity keys will lose their appeal, and anti-spam PoW should probably happen separately from your identity anyway.
