Irene Morgan had refused in Virginia in 1946.
Lillie Mae Bradford refused in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1951.
Sarah Louise Keyes refused in Carolina in 1952.

Claudette Colvin, Aurelia Browder, Susie McDonald and Mary Louise Smith were all arrested in Montgomery months before Parks.
