We need a separate set of Open Access pure science journals that aren't controlled by industry (ie corporate publishers), and don't allow papers by industry-funded authors. With hiding such funding treated as academic fraud, on the same level as plagiarism or faking results.
Industrial technology journals about applications of science are also useful. But these serve different purposes, and the two kinds shouldn't be fudged together as they are now.
