something has to be difficult with it, otherwise we wouldn't have tons of people signing in for a new account and then never actually using the account. I see this happening on our server that I'm admin on. I also know some of the people who do this, and they are not "computer-illiterate". There is some kind of barrier to using #Mastodon from the start that we should really try to remove.
Basically it should be more intuitive at least at the starting steps, even if it might become more complex later, this is what the other #SocialMedia platforms do. Instead, all the complexity is there from the start and that's a giant barrier to attracting new users.
