The upsides? Access to queer voices and people throughout the world—and finding a sense of community that’s harder to gather in the physical day-to-day world (especially outside of major cities, and in places where it’s just not safe to be openly ourselves including where we’re, y’know, illegal).
It’s also my main way to organize—charity anthologies, which I’ve done twice now for different trans organizations—boosting fellow authors, etc. I love that part of social media.
