that's sort of the experience I found with mood stabilizers, they bring kind of everything down to the middle, including the, you know, the good stuff. So you don't go as low but you also can't really go high. I'm hoping things kind of settle (I'm just going to be upping my dose on it.) Otherwise if it doesn't work/settle, we'll be looking at I think a couple of more meds (including maybe lithium as an option) but right now, this whole "not present" feeling is quite annoying.
