Achievement hunting is one of the most satisfying aspects of video games for me personally. I know that completionism isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I can't help but love the possibilities this style of gaming offers. Achievements allow me to explore every nook and cranny of a game's world, try out different strategies and overall experience everything a game has to offer, right down to the tiniest detail. It can also make already addictive games even more replayable.
The only real problem with achievements is that in some games, they don't add much. Certain games have a set of achievements that are not fun in the slightest. For example, some achievements require you to spend multiple hours on killing the same enemy over and over again. Or there can be a game where all of the achievements can literally be obtained on a normal playthrough without even trying. There are also the achievements that force you do an entire playthrough of a game in a specific way; one wrong move, and it's back to the beginning.
