Thought I would share a pano shot of the creek bend taken from the ridge.
Center right, you'll see the old oak. I call it my friend because I used to greet it with a pat, and the last winter I spoke to it, I wondered how long it would last.
That very spring, torrential rains came. When I made it back to the woods I could see it at the bottom. If you trace its way up you can see how it took down the whole side.
