I’m seeing a weird similarity between my oldest kids creative drawings and that from mildly prompted generative AI images.

My son: “it’s not just any hotdog, it’s THE hot dog” - proceeds to show me a hot dog surrounded by a bunch of rather abstract symbols one might see used to evoke action and emotion in anime.

Looks weirdly similar to an output you might get if you prompted an AI as such : “generate an image of a hot dog, but not any hot dog, THE hot dog”

There’s something philosophical about intelligence here that I just don’t have the energy to dive into right now.
