Except there is, but most artists I know are lazy assholes. I tried to commission several paintings for my living room, offered them ~$500 per piece, and they blew it because something something no inspiration, depressions, etc.
And then there was that time last year when I hired an artist to make Pleroma-tan for Stereophonic, she took the money and never delivered.
I guess, AI is the way here really if I want to have something done.
