The "Caroline Shiino"/"Karoline Sulak" situation raises several questions for me:
・The primary source on the "Saluk" surname is a Chinese website that afaik never cites thr source of the info. I'm not saying its wrong, but I am saying I don't trust the Chinese

・According to official sources she became a naturalized Japanese citizen in 2022. But they also say sge was born in 1998 & lived in Japan since she was 5 (2003). As the child of at least one Japanese national, she should have automatically been considered a national from birth. In the event she had or was eligible for more than one nationality, she would have legally been required to choose one nationality at age 20 (2018). This is a pretty glaring inconsistency.
