The concept of PoW permeates everything I see now. Fraudsters, con-men, etc. all want to piggyback and make something out of nothing as I believe I’ve heard Robert Breedlove say. They don’t want to put in the work. Dilution of credentialism is another example. Universities used to be more rigorous and demand the work to graduate. Nowadays there’s the pandering to students and their loans to generate more money for the schools that then have to adapt their curriculum so everyone can get an A. It’s a shame and the long term negative consequences of that are yet to be seen.
