I generally don't read tweets from hamsters because they rarely have anything intelligent or interesting to say. But no, other "social apps" have moderated identities. nostr isn't an app. nostr identities are portable. nostr development is permissionless. relays dont require connections to other relays for them to work. + we're all on clearnet rn, but it likely won't always be like that. Additionally, there will be (and already are) groups of relays completely detached from the general nostr community (subnets?)
